What is ReadAndGone?
ReadAndGone is an anonymous messaging platform that lets you share secrets, thoughts, and confessions with complete strangers around the world. Every free message you leave disappears permanently after it's been read by one person, creating a unique space for honest, ephemeral communication that can't be found anywhere else on the internet.
We built ReadAndGone because we believe everyone deserves a place to express themselves freely, without fear of judgment, consequences, or their words following them forever. Our mission is to provide a safe, anonymous platform for genuine human expression. How It Works
Our platform is designed to be simple and intuitive. There are two main actions you can take:
- Leave a Message: Type whatever you want to share - a secret, confession, piece of advice, joke, or anything else - and click send. Your message joins a pool of other anonymous messages waiting to be discovered by strangers.
- Read a Message: Click to receive a random anonymous message from someone else. You'll see what a stranger chose to share, with no way to know who wrote it or where they're from.
No accounts are required for basic use. No tracking. No identity verification. Just pure, unfiltered human expression.
Two Types of Messages
- Free Messages: Disappear immediately and permanently after being read once. The reader is the only person who will ever see that message - then it's gone forever, with no record that it ever existed. Perfect for fleeting thoughts, one-time confessions, and things you need to release but don't need preserved.
- Premium Messages: Stay in rotation indefinitely and can be read by multiple people over time. Premium members can also view, manage, and delete their messages through an account dashboard. Privacy First
We take your anonymity seriously. Here's what that means in practice:
- No personal information is collected or stored with free messages
- We don't track IP addresses associated with message content
- Free messages are permanently deleted after being read - we don't keep copies
- Premium accounts require only an email for login purposes - that email is never connected to your messages in any way visible to readers
- We will never sell or share user data

Community Guidelines
While ReadAndGone is a space for free expression, we do expect users to be respectful. This is not a platform for harassment, hate speech, illegal content, or messages designed to harm others. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these principles and to block users who repeatedly abuse the platform.
